Sourdough Sodbusters
We use a specialized blend of Kentucky Blue Grass, Creeping Red Fescue and Red Top Bent Grass which is a hearty blend that thrives in the Yukon's hot, dry summers and long sub-zero winters.
When you purchase your sod, you will receive it in slab form measuring 1.5x3' slabs and they are stacked flat on 3x3' pallets. Each piece measures about 1-1.5" in thickness which includes a substantial root mass inclusive of the topsoil it is grown in. Pallets weigh between 1000-1500lbs each depending on moisture content and carry approximately 300sq.ft of sod.
With proper care, your new lawn can withstand light foot traffic immediately after it is installed and within two to three weeks' time your lawn should be well established and you can safely resume normal use.
